Thai Entry: Cabbages and Condoms @ Sukhumvit Road

Yep, it's Cabbages AND Condoms. With a name like that, the interior decor has to be equally jaw-dropping as well. These are...

statues...

made...

of...

condoms!

YES CONDOMS! :)

MULTI-COLOURED ONES! (omg why I sound so happy hahaha)

Top right: Popiah
Middle: Pork satay
There's nothing special about the popiah - just an average appetiser, but the pork satay is soft and easy to chew. Contains less fat meat also compared to the typical chicken satay here in Malaysia. There's this hot sauce you can dip them skewers in also, much richer in texture than Malaysia's.

Mix vegetables. Stir-fried of course. The sauce is sticky but not disgustingly sticky. Has tons of flavour because there're loads of veggies. :B

Kids will LOVE these deep-fried shrimp patties! You can really taste the big chunks of shrimps and they're not all starchy and chewy. :) Really good! Spicy also!

These are...

...not glutinous rice; they're chicken drumsticks wrapped in pandan; mum loves them to the max but they're just slightly above average to me. The flesh is warm and not too dry, but I can barely taste the pandan.

MY VERY FIRST GREEN CURRY! A must-try in any Thai restaurant! Tastes minty and slightly spicy, and you can choose the protein you wanna have it with: be it pork or chicken. (Y)

Yes it's the regular steamed fish. Except the oyster sauce is spicier than usual because of the chili padi. C: Me likey.

Oh btw this is Thai coconut (duh!). I can hardly scrape the flesh in it though. :( Definitely very cooling after the spicy feast.

And instead of sanitary hand-towels or Hack sweets or in this case, mints; they give condoms as their complimentary thing (more like souvenir) which my younger bro would had mistaken for a chewing gum - seriously.

A great meal overall, but the interior design has definitely more 'oomph' than what is served here. Serving's moderate, the atmosphere's most suitable if you wanna catch up with friends and have good food. :D It isn't super expensive either, less than 3000 baht (plus minus RM300) for all the aforementioned dishes (for 8 pax). The main purpose of the establishment of the restaurant is to curb unwanted pregnancy and the booming population of Thailand once upon a time, hence the condoms. A WHOLE LOT of them. :B
